The Spandau Zitadelle - #1

The extremely well-preserved Spandau Citadel (1560-94) is an impressive Renaisance structure on a little island in the Havel River. A moat protects it on three sides, while the fourth opens up to the river. Its basic layout is that of a square with each corner protected by a bastion - essentially a stony section shaped like an arrowhead.
